This was Knight Rider. Loved watching that show when I was a kid. Back when The Hoff...well wasn't The Hoff but just David Hasselhoff. It's old as fuck, cheese as only the 80's can be, but basically it was a fun show that captured by imagination as a child. And fuck that Trans Am was COOL!

This is NOT Knight Rider.

Watched the "revival" show and it was just so full of FAIL!

I knew it would fail. This is 2008 give me something new! Galactica gave us something new, proving that you can take an old concept and make it cool, heck BIONIC WOMAN was cooler than this shit. I'm not against the concept of taking an old show out of the moth balls and doing something with it but please don't insult my intelligence. Just near the end when I was thinking that one of the cooler things on the show was having K.I.T.T. come out of a moving truck they have the car come out of a moving plane. But the plane isn't cool. You didn't just "one up" the old show, you just showed how unoriginal you are you silly arseholes.

Also even an "indestructible" car will MOVE when it is hit by a speeding SUV. I'm not a physics expert but even I know this. Geez this reminds me of seeing the Hulk holding back a helicopter by holding on to one of the landing struts. Argh! 2008 people! Almost 10 YEARS after 2000! Also the new car is FUG.

Mmm don't post often lately.

Things that changed since last post:

- Older.

- Not fatter.

- Not richer....well not "much" richer.

- Colder. Bloody weather is making me go bonkers. I'm in full winter blues mode.

- Valentine creeping up on me. No date. I like Valentine's Day and I won't be angry if I don't have a date but it would be nice to have one. Meh.

- Lost started again. Lost good.

- Survivor started again. Survivor is teh AWESOME!

- Not painting minis. Should be painting minis. Motivation is low for some reason.

- Forgot to bring cookies. WOE IS ME!

My lappy (not really a lappy anymore anyway) is depressing me lately. I think it's time to get a new machine. Soon. Very soon.

Decided to perhaps move this year. Getting a new place would be nice.

That's all for now.

I just wanna take a tiny bit out of my day to wish my good friend Hans a happy B-Day. :-)

That is all. Enjoy!

I want some cookies, a glass of milk, and a nap.

Not much to ask for no?

...alas not until I get home.

Looked at the WoW page for a few minutes here at work....

Nope I'm NOT buying a new card, not getting into Burning Crusade, I think it's over now. I'm not gonna touch it until retirement in a million years.

It's tempting. It's the perfect timekiller but that's the crux of the problem. It's too efficient at taking your time away from the things you really want to do.

Now I just want a Computer Fantasy RPG that is one player and that I can save as I play. That's all I'm asking for. Any suggestions?

With this new year still quite novel I have to remember this.

Meet the future with an open heart.

This is all.

No I'm not playing games on Facebook or sending people weird applications with no purpose.

I'm just busy.

Classes and gaming mostly. And by gaming I mean tabletop gaming. Haven't played a computer game since summer and the last time I played console games was with Alex Leduc and Erroir...and it was still very early fall/end of summer back then.

I'm getting the new Talisman for X-Mass and by "getting" I mean I bought the game and gave the parentals the bill. I wanted to make sure I was getting one and so I made sure I grabbed one when it was issued. I really hope they also issue some add-ons for it. It's my favorite boardgame and I can't wait til after X-Mass to invite friends over for an evening of Talisman.

In other Kolvin news I'm now under 170lbs. Let's explain that when I started this entire war against Fat-Kolvin I was at a WHOPPING 193lbs. Never had I been so bulky. I'm not at my target yet but I feel I've made some very positive headway. Fat-Kolvin is losing. I'm back near the weight I was when I met Ariane. Maybe chicks will find me hot again. :-P

Class is going well. the Photoshop class is long over and I did learn a few new tricks that I'd like to practice more. Didn't take the second part of the class cuz I was scared of getting the same doofus teacher. My 3D Animation class is still super-interesting. Again I wish I had more time to practice. I'm definitely putting a few days of my holiday vacation time aside to train myself to use Blender.

Most of my time at home in the recent weeks is spent painting miniatures. The Vampire Count army is almost finished and I'm even looking towards starting a Witchhunter squad for Warhammer 40k. I am SOOOO GOFF!

That and RPGs. I'm in way too many games right now and I think I'll probably have to cut back soon. I just can't stretch myself this thin for much longer without some serious effects. Can't quit Age of Worms though, we invested a lot of time into it and we'll finish it! It's not even the fact that I dislike any of the games, it's just the amount of time it takes. I'm also running an Eberron game that, if I do say so myself, totally rocked during the first session. Second session is next week. Hopefully I can keep the energy up. I just wish we had a 4th player.

Still single. Meh. There was one seriously cute girl in my Photoshop class but I was way too shy to ask her out (yes I am very shy). Meeting new chicks when you don't go out in clubs is difficult. Probably shouldn't refer to ladies as "chicks". I'm so le frat boy. :-P

Facebook does have it's uses though. I found a bunch of people that had not been in my life for a while. Even managed to catch some drinks with some of them. Yay Facebook!

There's a few people I wanna spend some time with before the holiday season comes into full effect. Gotta start making some plans with them.

And that's it for now.

Maybe more later. Later as in, not today.

Recent films seen:

Beowulf: Surprisingly good
Perfume (rental): Interesting. Don't think the ending worked well with the rest of the film.

Funny. I write about 10 thousand entries (in my head) that never make it to lj. Meh.

Either I'm crap at managing my time (that's certainly possible) or I just have a lot less free time lately. I'll imagine the latter since the former is depressing.

I'd like to play WoW again but I can't find any time I could devote to it that I wouldn't rather spend on other things. WoW will wait. It's not a priority.

Super positive side I've dropped a bit over 15lbs in the last 2 months. Yay me! I've reached goal #1 and now I'm setting my sight on goal #2, losing ANOTHER 15lbs. Up to now it's pretty easy. It took me a while to get my ass in gear but now that I'm on the "train" eating salads for lunch is easy.

I have no clue what to do for Halloween. Dressing up doesn't have the same magical effect it had a few years ago. Heck I might just skip it this year. Time will tell. I still "like" Halloween but I just have no clue about a costume or when I'd have time to assemble it.

School is fine. 3D Animation is pretty awesome. I really like it. I'm just doing very basic stuff but since this is the learning process I very proud of what I've learned. I wish I had a good computer at home to practice though. I'm gonna try Blender which is supposed to suck a bit less resources on a computer than Autodesk 3D MAX.

The Photoshop class isn't all that great. I'm learning "some" things but the teacher sucks and it's starting to be obvious he doesn't use photoshop anywhere near it's capacity. He seems to just be stumbling along. At least tonight we're supposed to learn more about layers which is what I personally think we should have been doing 2 weeks ago.

Work is work. I'm still "technically" looking for a roomate even though I haven't put up an ad in the past 2 months. I hate my bank. The usual.

But I feel a lot better about myself after losing bit of the weight that I gained in the past few years and things are hopefully looking up.

Life would be a lot keener if I didn't have this CRIPPLING headache.

Feels like my brain is trying to carve its way out of the front of my skull.

Even though my soul said NO this morning I still made myself a bloody salad for lunch. I've lost 10lbs, I should take comfort in that.

I just don't feel like salad today. :-(

I also don't really feel like being broke. On payday.

Well at least it's Friday. Hopefully the weekend will bring me some form of joy.

Looks like I'm going back to school after all....

Back to Dawson in the evenings. Mondays and Wednesdays.

Yay me!

Goodbye social life. :-P

A couple of weeks ago I was wondering what to do on my vacation. Seems like my dad was psychic cuz he called me a day later and offered to take me on a roadtrip to Val D'Or.

Now a lot of people don't know this but I'm not originally from Montreal. In fact, I was born in Rouyn-Noranda and moved about in the north for a while before moving here in the third grade. I had not been to Val D'Or for quite a while (like 20 years) and, as such, I was curious.

So, since I didn't have any better offers, I took the trip. 7 hour drive there and back.

Here are the pictures with my usual commentary:

Living by the seat of my pants I have decided to take next week off.

Yay me!

I deserve it anyways.

And I'm staying in Montreal (unless someone has a better offer). So if you are free and wish to hang out and whatnot....book me. :-)
